We've discovered that events, especially weddings, don't need to be stressful or complex to be beautiful and unforgettable. Recently, a client approached us to rent our venue for her second marriage. Most linen rental companies will deliver to your home if you're in the Treasure Valley (though likely not to Payette). They offer tablecloths in various colors to meet your needs. At St. James, we rent white tablecloths for $10 and white chair covers for $5, and we also offer grey tablecloths and provide black chair covers at no extra cost.
Our bride brought a simple yet beautiful cake from a Meridian bakery, shown below. We can lend you a cake stand to enhance your cake's elegance at no extra charge if it doesn't come with one. Other options include cupcakes or a chocolate fountain.

Many people spend a lot on florists and other designers. To keep it simple, you can use our faux flowers or order basic bouquets from Albertsons, located near St James in Payette. Here's one of the bouquets she purchased from Albertsons for $14 each, including the vase.

Music can also be a costly item, but there's a range of prices for different musicians. A solo musician is often more affordable than a full band. Consider hiring a local musician to handle your ceremony and party. While you can save on music by using your iPod, technical issues can arise, causing stress. Musicians bring their own equipment, allowing you to enjoy your event without technical worries. Alternatively, you could hire a DJ. We recommend splurging on musicians if your budget allows.

In our experience, banquet food is the biggest challenge. We strongly suggest hiring a caterer who can handle cleanup and provide all the plates, utensils, and serving platters. Hiring someone for this task eliminates 50% of the work in any event, making it much more enjoyable for you so you can spend time with your loved ones. Leave catering to the professionals if possible! You can also save money and reduce cleanup by having appetizers or charcuterie trays instead of o save money without losing out on elegance.
